A presentation design for a French culture workshop — part of a French language course, designed to immerse students into the richness of French cultural heritage.
Challenge
The workshop format required a highly visual presentation where the instructor delivers most of the content verbally, while slides serve as emotional anchors — featuring bold, "screaming" subheadlines and evocative images that spark curiosity and engagement. The goal was to foster cross-cultural understanding and respect for cultural diversity while helping students feel more prepared for integration into French society. Every visual element had to be emotionally resonant, culturally authentic, and instantly readable — supporting the instructor's narrative without competing with it.
Results
I designed a presentation that transforms the workshop into a vivid cultural experience — where visuals speak as loudly as words. Here's what I delivered:
Minimum text, maximum impact — Slides contain almost no text, encouraging students to listen to the instructor's explanations while immersing themselves into the visuals, creating a more engaging and memorable learning experience
Emotionally charged visuals — Carefully curated images selected to evoke curiosity, wonder, and a genuine emotional connection to French culture
Bold punchy headlines — Short, memorable phrases that "shout" key ideas, reinforcing the instructor's message and making each slide instantly scannable
